The wearing of school uniform is considered an extremely important part of school life and portrays the school’s ethos and shared positive values. Taughmonagh Primary School is very proud of our uniform which is simple but smart and we, as a school, take great pride in the appearance of our children, not only during the school day but as they represent their school within the local and wider community. The uniform of Taughmonagh Primary School gives the children an important sense of identity and belonging with the school.

BOYS – School Day

• This is a red Taughmonagh PS sweatshirt.
• A white polo shirt P1-P4
• A plain white shirt, worn with a Taughmonagh PS tie P5-P7
• Grey trousers/grey shorts.
• Grey/dark socks.
• Black shoes. Shoes should be appropriate for class and playground activities.

GIRLS – School Day

• This is a Taughmonagh PS sweatshirt.
• A white polo shirt P1-P4
• A plain white shirt, worn with a Taughmonagh PS tie 5-P7
• Grey pinafore or skirt.
• Alternatively, in winter girls may wear grey trousers and in summer a red and white dress (gingham or striped) may be worn.
• Grey tights/white socks.
• Black shoes. Shoes should be appropriate for class and playground activities.

PE KIT

For PE children require: -

• A red t-shirt.
• Black shorts.
• Trainers or gym shoes.
• Swimming Lessons - Boys should wear swimming trunks or swimming shorts and girls should wear one-piece bathing suit (not a bikini).
